Recently we had the opportunity to work with a new product from Azek called permeable pavers. This product is made from 97% recycled material (tires and plastics). This is a great product that will add value and a great look to your house. It can be installed on a concrete slab, roof deck, side walk, drive way, or back yard patio landscape.
Permeable pavers comes in five natural colors to choose from and is installed on top of a grid that is 16 inches by 16 inches. The installation of this product is fast and efficient saving you time and money and looks great! There are a couple of options to choose from. A border gives it a nice finished look, while herringbone makes it interesting.
When it comes to installing this product we were impressed with a few different things. When it came to making any type of cuts to the grid or the paver you can either use a skill saw, jig saw, sawsall, or a miter box. Once you make a cut simply use a scrap piece of paver to sand of the edges and it’s ready for install. It is very easy to make angle cuts or cutting around any corners. Another thing we liked about this product is it’s very easy to adjust if you start to get off on the pattern. It’s designed to be installed with a quarter of an inch gap which allows for adjustments if you need to adjust the pattern or the grid.
I highly recommend permeable pavers simply because it looks sharp once the project is finished. It’s very easy to work with and it’s made from 97% recycled material witch is great for the environment. Minimal tools are needed for install. And you will be extremely happy choosing permeable pavers over the traditional paver that needs to be installed on top of a class five rock, then sand, then has to be packed. The old way requires a lot more time, effort and money.
If you’re thinking about adding a new patio to your home or commercial building, permeable pavers are the way to go! The company Azek hit a home run when they came out with their new paver design. I look forward to working with this product again.
