Location: Savage, MN
Budget: Under $65,000
Renovations: Andersen 100 series windows, vaulted ceiling and beadboard wall, and a luxury vinyl plank floor
A couple wanted to add an enclosed porch and deck to their Savage, MN home to take better advantage of the warmer months. They sought a comfortable, inviting, space that integrated well with their home’s exterior. Following an initial meeting with our meticulous, professional contractors, they chose to work with Iron River Construction.
Luxury Details and an Integrated Porch Design
Our experienced team used its usual, thorough process to create a timeline that allowed us to complete the porch ahead of the upcoming summer season per the couple’s request. 3-D imaging allowed them to see the finished project before we even broke ground.
To create the look the homeowners sought, the company used Anderson 100 series windows, a 6” pine, tongue and groove wood material for the expansive vaulted ceiling, and beadboard wall materials with flat stock window and door casing and flat stock baseboards.
For the floor, the couple chose luxury vinyl plank, which is exceptionally durable and can withstand the Minneapolis area’s extreme temperature variations.
Our main challenge was to create a roof to compliment the home’s existing roofline, but we were able to seamlessly integrate the old and new roofs for a cohesive appearance.
A “Cabin” Feel in the Heart of Savage
The couple is delighted with their beautiful, enclosed porch and deck. With summer approaching, they can’t wait to spend more time grilling, relaxing, and entertaining in their new outdoor space.
